Current Policy Initiatives RHAP Is Promoting

RHAP encourages and organizes family physicians to introduce and support the following resolutions at state and national academies of family physician. RHAP thanks the Center for Reproductive Health Education in Family Medicine (RHEDI) for drafting these resolutions.

Read the AAFP Primer to understand the state and national structure of American Academy of Family Physicians and how to move resolutions through the system.

For guidance on how to introduce and support a policy resolution, email info@reproductiveaccess.org

This year, RHAP and RHEDI are organizing support for these policy resolutions:

Below is a complete list of all past policy resolutions that RHEDI and RHAP have introduced to American Academy of Family Medicine. We have noted which resolutions have been adopted as official AAFP policy. Approved AAFP policy statements can be viewed here.

Add Comprehensive Reproductive Health Services to your local Free Clinic

Free Clinics (over 800 as of 2007) play an important role in providing primary care to the uninsured. Integrating comprehensive reproductive health care into these facilities will expand access to the populations most in need and provide training opportunities for medical students and family medicine residents.

These forms are not intended to provide legal, medical or other professional advice. They are not a substitute for consultation with a healthcare provider or for independent judgment by healthcare providers or other professionals regarding individual conditions and situations.
