Contraceptive Pearls Update

Last year we sent our first Contraceptive Pearl to 124 clinicians New York. Today more than 800 clinicians in 44 states and Canada receive our Contraceptive Pearls. Thank you for helping us spread the word!

We took a short break over the summer and will be back in October. We want to let you know some our plans for the coming year.
  • New and updated patient education materials. We'll be releasing updated Emergency Contraception education sheets that include the newly approved Ella product. Look out for our new How to Switch Birth Control Methods handout (Link to: handout) too.
  • CME opportunities for Contraceptive Pearl Subscribers. This year some of our Contraceptive Pearls will include an opportunity to obtain continuing medical education credit. Read our Pearl, look over the attached resources and sources, take a short knowledge quiz and get a CME credit. It will be that easy!
  • Addressing your questions. Do you have a contraceptive practice question? Send it in and we may include it in an upcoming Contraceptive Pearl. If we use your question, you will receive a copy of the latest edition of Managing Contraception as our way of saying thanks.

Expanding access to contraception is at the heart of our organizational mission. Providing practical, evidence-based information and tools to primary care clinicians is what we do best. Our Contraceptive Pearls are free. With your help we can do more. A pledge of $12 a year – or $1 per Contraceptive Pearl - would help us make sure more clinicians can access this information. Make a donation today and support the Contraceptive Pearls for the coming year.

Thank you,
