New York Times Article Features RHAP Education Director

On September 18th, 2012 The New York Times highlighted the Reproductive Health Access Project’s work in an article about how to safely switch between contraceptive methods. In the article RHAP’s Education Director, Dr. Ruth Lesnewski, outlined some of the most common reasons why women switch between methods and how to safely avoid gaps in contraceptive coverage. RHAP Clinicians Receive National Awards

Each year Physician's for Reproductive Choice and Health (PRCH) honors two physicians who provide outstanding abortion care. One award recognizes career-long service and another award is given to a doctor early in her or his career.  This year PRCH has chosen to honor two family physicians, both of whom are integrally connected to the Reproductive Health Access Project.

Linda Prine, MD, our very own medical director, is being awarded the William K. Rashbaum Award in recognition of her career-long service and impact on the field of abortion care.  Margaret Kini, MD, who leads our efforts in Texas, is receiving the George Tiller, MD, Abortion Provider Award given to an abortion provider early in their career who has overcome obstacles in order to provide abortion care.
